Kieran McDermott, owner of McDonalds in Ennis and Shannon, remains passionate about equal opportunities for people with disabilities.
“I’m supporting the Disability Confidence campaign because IT MAKES BUSINESS SENSE. Over 10% of the Irish population have a disability, and that number increases on a daily basis. We want to be known as a locally owned, community-based restaurant with great tasting food in a clean and friendly environment. We want to show that we understand the needs and requirements of our diverse community. Employees and customers of McDonald’s need to access and transact with us, like every other customer or staff member. So, by investing in Training and by making slight adaptations to our building and service platforms, we have the confidence to know that we are remaining RELEVANT to our ever- changing community customer base. It just makes sense!”
